
The CT Early Childhood Cabinet’s purpose is to develop a high-quality, comprehensive system of early childhood education among the wide array of early childhood programs in the state (including Head Start, child care and School Readiness). The CT Early Childhood Cabinet plays a key role in advancing the integration of services to young children and families.
Membership
The cabinet brings together leaders and advocates from across the state. It includes members from state government, higher education, child care, nonprofit and community organizations, and Connecticut families. See a list of our current members.

History
The CT Early Childhood Cabinet started as the Early Childhood Education Cabinet in 2005. It was reformed in January 2010 and designated as the State Advisory Council specified in the Head Start Act of 2007. The Cabinet was given its current name during the 2014 legislative session.
